Gunson - Personal Fault Code Reader
OVERVIEW
The GUNSON PFCR1 is a diagnostic tool for professional automotive technicians. The 16 pin connector is plugged into the socket located in the engine bay or under the dashboard. The device will then list any fault codes.
PROCESS
This product is an example of our specialist automotive diagnostics capabilities. The products software and hardware was designed in-house. It was manufactured and assembled including PCB assembly, cabling and shell design and build.
PRODUCT
As this is a consumer-product, the design needed to be simple and robust. It uses a single button to produce the code, and can be easily removed by holding down the button. The product reads all the standard OBDII and the European EOBD codes and P, U & C codes. This mode was designed for diesel engines manufactured between 1998 to 2001 with BOSCH EDC 15 management systems.
