Hardware & Software Design

Hardware & Software Design

We are capable of producing a wide range of specialist software and are always developing our skill sets, so if you are looking for something specific then please let us know.

Traction Solutions’ engineers have experience at all stages of the design process. Some clients come to us with fully formed ideas and detailed briefs, whilst others may just have a concept. We are comfortable taking all types of design through to product stage.

When you need a rapid turn around, our flexible service can match your demand. Whether it’s bringing to life an idea with a physical prototype or a stop-gap solution to accommodate capacity, we can deliver.

Design Methods

Using the right tools and methods is essential for efficient and cost effective design. Future modifications and upgrades can be a nightmare if designs are not created using industry standard methods. We use a variety of tools to ensure we can meet your expectations, including: Orcad Scematic Capture, AutoCAD, Delphi, and Microsoft C++, for instance.

Reverse Engineering

if you have a product with no circuit diagrams or design documentation, we can apply backward engineering to help bring the project back to life. This is particularly useful when a product may be reaching the end of it’s lifecycle or it’s a legacy product that needs continuing. We can also perform design updates to align with your future needs.

Emerging Technologies

The nature of the electronics business means we are often exposed at the early stages of many cutting-edge technologies. We embrace these opportunities and have a progressive approach, enabling us to experiment, innovate and push beyond the boundaries of convention.

Hardware

We have many areas of expertise in hardware design, but some of our particular strengths lie in linear circuits, microcontrollers including PIC, Atmel and others, embedded microprocessors including 8, 12, and 23 bit families. Our design capabilities also cover cables & harnesses and enclosures.

Software

Our expertise in software design covers a wide range of disciplines, from embedded C and C++, to Assembler to PC based software using Microsoft C++.
